School of Sacred Storytelling - 30 Hours - 3 credits
Spirituality of Storylistening

through Storytelling, Storylistening, Dreamwork, Drama,Journalkeeping & Art

with Mary Jo Kelly Wilhelm, Ph.D. and Robert Bela Wilhelm, Th.D.
The vivid images of storytelling authentically mirror our journeys through the ordinary experiences of daily life.

Through creative storytelling and storylistening we discover eternal truths that seem to elude us in day-to-day life.

A twenty minute storytelling can reveal and clarify twenty years of living.

For many years we have regularly offered annual institutes on "How to Tell Stories."

We also offer this seminar on "How to Listen to Stories."

Overview

For people who value Words, Language & Communication, this seminar offers essential tools for personal enrichment & professional competence. This is an intensive program that follows a unique process developed by Dr. Robert Béla Wilhelm. It also incorporates Journalkeeping and visual artwork as part of the process of responding to the images of the stories we hear.

Each session begins with a telling of a powerful story. These performances (some of the world's best stories) are followed by a process of letting the stories evoke our own images, emotions, and interpretations.

Nothing is imposed on the listener from the outside. The story becomes part of our own personal spirituality. The seminar is for everyone who loves stories, and who believes that stories reveal profound spiritual truths to the listener.

Dr. Kelly Wilhelm facilitates an optional morning dreamsharing group to integrate the language of dreams ("night dreams") and the language of stories ("day dreams.")
