Robert Béla Wilhelm, Th.D., is founder and director of School of Sacred Storytelling. He is mentor for the School’s Apprenticeship program and provides both training in practical skills and an understanding of a narrative spirituality.

Many persons have discovered their gifts as sacred storytellers through his caring work with them over the past four decades.

Robert Béla Wilhelm began creating the Lectionary Storybook is 1996 as a single-sheet newsletter. Now, every week's Storybook contains sixteen pages of Scripture, stories, reflections, and worksheets in printed form, as well as an Online tutorial that includes audio tellings of each story.

Bob Wilhelm is the son of immigrant parents from whom he heard his first (Hungarian and Slovak) stories as a boy in New York City. He has taught every age level from pre-school children to graduate school seminarians and D.Min. candidates.

Bob and his wife, Dr. Mary Jo Kelly Wilhelm, have been leading sacred storytelling pilgrimages to Europe for twenty-five years.
