Fellows of the School of Sacred Storytelling
What is a Fellow?
| Fellowships follow up to the apprenticeship program. --- Apprentices are enrolled in the apprenticeship program. --- Graduates would be those who have finished the program, --- Fellows would be graduates enrolled in the postgraduate diploma. (The word "fellows" means being a peer among others who share a common quest for learning. "Fellowship" is therefore the comunnity of master storytellers in the School of Sacred Storytelling. A fellowship is not a financial grant.)
The focus of the apprenticeship is primarily to develop relatively new core skills to a higher level while pursuing one project in more depth. The focus of the Fellows diploma is to pursue one project in more detail while strengthening the core skills even more. The same two components but with more emphasis a chosen core topic -- the equivalent of a doctoral dissertation or a performance opus.

Becoming a Fellow
| The initial proposal in writings outlines the prospective Fellows "vision and strategy" for completing a project. The final project is presented at a Master Storytelling week or a Guild retreat. A report will be deposited in the School archives - and on the School website -- afterwards to document the Project and make it available to others. A major goal of the Fellows program is to publish or produce the storytelling projects both in the School and through outside publishers and performance organizations. |
