Science, storytelling and art are closely connected with my world in my profession as an ecologist.  I use storytelling to illustrate the principles of ecology, the excitement of discovery, and the importance of observation. I use this "story-science" to meet curriculum needs and state standards in classrooms from kindergarten to mid-school.  Many stories I tell are about the world around us and our responsibilities.  I sometimes use a puppet named Eli, the Eagle, to explain conservation.

I am a Pastor of Visitation Ministries at the White Rock United Methodist Church. I use storytelling in sermons, retreats, and children's messages as part of our spiritual journey.

As editor for the Guild of Sacred Storytellers and I have edited the
Art of Biblical Storytelling, and Advent to Epiphany [by Sandra Herald,] and Keeping the Fires of Faith Alive, [by various Guild members, compiled by Pam Maben.]

My written and illustrated childrens books include
Jedidiah's Gift, a play called Three Gifts of Christmas, and The Forest and the Fire, published by the Los Alamos Historical Society.

I am available for schools, retreats, pulpit supply, and worshops.
