Who are the retreat participants? Persons on a spiritual quest, above 40 years of age, who enjoy stories shared in a prayerful setting.
Who are the retreat leaders? Robert Bela Wilhelm's doctorate is in sacred storytelling. Mary Jo Kelly Wilhelm's doctorate is in the spirituality of pilgrimage. They are the founders of the School of Sacred Storytelling. They are Catholic Christians who are committed to ecumenical and interreligious dialogue.
The Retreat Process: Each session begins with a story. The story is then explored through discussion, artwork, journaling, and other methods. The story is explored through (1) images, (2) feelings, (3) meanings, and (4) applications. The session ends with a prayerful reflection.
