School of Sacred Storytelling
Stories for the Second Half of Life's Journey

Tucson, Arizona • February 2-6, 2009

Welcome!
Page will be updated by March 17
Who are the retreat participants? Persons on a spiritual quest, above 40 years of age, who enjoy stories shared in a prayerful setting.
Who are the retreat leaders? Robert Bela Wilhelm's doctorate is in sacred storytelling. Mary Jo Kelly Wilhelm's doctorate is in the spirituality of pilgrimage. They are the founders of the School of Sacred Storytelling. They are Catholic Christians who worship in both the Roman and Byzantine rites, and who are committed to ecumenical and interreligious dialogue.

The Retreat Process: Each session begins with a story. The story is then explored through discussion, artwork, journaling, and other methods. The story is explored through (1) images, (2) feelings, (3) meanings, and (4) applications. The session ends with a prayerful reflection.
